WHAT WE OFFER
Prime Beef LTD offers top quality Black Angus all native beef, pork, lamb, goat, poultry and seafood all sourced from producers we know and trust. Dry aged beef upon request. Special orders for whole lamb, pig or goat are welcome. We carry all prime burgers and house-made sausages, beef jerky and imported groceries. Try our homemade guacamole, salsas, ceviche and tortillas.
Our kitchen prepares a variety of delicious homemade tamales on Friday, Saturday, and
Sundays. Our delicious hot foods for carry-out such as beef, pork and lamb tacos, carnitas,
rice, beans, consommé and menudo available Saturdays and Sundays only. Let us cater your
next event!

Our shop is well stocked with a wealth of gourmet specialty items, some from around the world.
We carry imported feta cheese, olives, olive oils, pasta, meat rubs, marinades, a variety of
charcoals, wood chips for the backyard grill master or professional smoker. Visit our freezers
for everything from all prime burgers, sausages, meats, seafood, pastas, gourmet breads and
desserts.

Visit our diverse range of premium wines from around the globe. Whether you are a seasoned
connoisseur or wine enthusiast you won’t be disappointed with the selections we offer. We host
a wine tasting a few times a year, watch for our flyers posted in our store. We carry ice cold

OVER 100 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE THROUGH 3 GENERATIONS
Nick Tountas began his experience raising beef, lamb and goat in Tripoli, Greece. At age 15 he began to love working with livestock and sold carcasses to local retail butcher shops in Greece. He relocated his family to United States in the 1960’s and began working as a butcher in Chicago. Eventually he opened his own butcher
shop.
Pat has followed in his father’s footsteps and is now passing down his experience to his sons, Kris and Joe. Together their passion for quality meat and excellent customer service is shown in the many 5-star customer reviews. Prime Beef LTD is a small family-owned bulk butcher shop conveniently located near the heart
of downtown Mundelein. We are in a warehouse setting, bringing back the Old-World style
butcher shop. We service many customers from Chicago and surrounding suburbs. We offer
top quality antibiotic/hormone free USDA Certified native Black Angus beef. Our friendly staff
of expert butchers will work with you to choose the finest cuts for you to prepare your meal
planning needs. We bring back the old days of having a personal butcher who takes pride in
not only cutting meat for customers, but also giving each customer a personalized shopping
experience. Our customers know us on a first-name basis and we take the time to educate our
first-time customers on the various cuts we offer. We are one of the few butcher shops that do

Pat the owner gave my wife and I a personal tour of this wonderful store. Bought a beef tenderloin that was custom cut for us in 6 oz filets. We also purchased some frozen Texas gulf shrimp, imported Italian and Greek olives . Pat also comped us 6 homemade tamales , since it was our first time in the store . Highly recommend

Mundelein's hidden gem. One-stop shop for real beef, wine and meal. They sell other items as well. The owner and the staff are helpful and friendly. You can ask them anything. We even got advice on grilling. They are open 7 days. They also have daily specials.
